Born in Washington, DC and raised in New Hampshire, Dave's passion for food began at a young age.  As a boy his parents would take him to farms and orchards, exposing him to the freshest ingredients and beginning his orientation of "farm to table".  Of course these trips would always end in a delicious meal filled with the days gatherings.

At the age of 14, while attending Proctor Academy, Dave spent his first days in the kitchen working for the school as part of mandatory dish duty and during the summers making salads and bussing the busy tables.  This job was a chore that most students dreaded, but Dave always looked forward to his time spent in the kitchen.

At 21, he ran his first kitchen at Hermanos Cocina Mexicana in Corcord, NH and after 6 years, he moved on to The Common Man Inn and Spa in Plymouth, NH where he spent 4 years as their Sous Chef.

In 2007 Dave made the move to Portland's 555, where he worked under Food & Wine Magazine's Best New Chef of 2007, Steve Corry. Once again ready to manage his own kitchen, Dave accepted the position of Executive Chef at The Village Inn and Tavern in 2008, where he continues to share his love of fine food and prides himself on serving the best duck and lakeside cuisine found anywhere in Maine.
